Luke Grimes’ practice focuses on competition damages litigation, including collective proceedings in the Competition Appeal Tribunal. He has been a pivotal part of the legal teams dealing with the most well-known competition damages actions in recent years, including a collective action on behalf of the Consumers’ Association known as Which? against Qualcomm.

In addition, Luke played a key role as part of the legal team dealing with groundbreaking climate change claims, for example to hold the Government to account for its failures to adopt adequate policies to combat climate change through bringing a Judicial Review in relation to the Government’s carbon budgets. He was also instructed by Save the Children in its intervention in Duarte Agostinho & 5 Others v Portugal & 32 Others before the European Court of Human Rights, highlighting the impact of climate change on children and on their right to safety/prosperous future.

Luke’s commitment to the advancement of global antitrust and competition law is demonstrated through his role as Assistant Managing Editor of Hausfeld’s Competition Bulletin, widely recognised as market-leading by peers, clients and the judiciary.

Previously at Norton Rose Fulbright LLP.
