Career

Dominic J. De Simone is the Co-Chair of Ballard Spahr’s national Finance Department, and Team Leader of the firm’s Private Equity Real Estate, Commercial Loan Servicing, and Distressed Real Estate teams. He practices general real estate law focusing on real estate debt and equity transactions. He advises lenders, investors, borrowers, servicers and receivers on a wide range of transactions including construction, CMBS and syndicated loans; joint venture and preferred equity transactions; intercreditor matters; and distressed situations.

The real estate finance group at Ballard Spahr LLP assists with real estate transactions including mezzanine, construction, and mortgage loans all over the US. Distressed real estate and loan restructurings and enforcement are another key pillar of the practice as well as its private credit and equity real estate practice. Dominic De SimoneSiobhan O’Donnell, and Thomas Hauser all co-lead the group from Philadelphia, Los Angeles, and Baltimore respectively. Finance expert De Simone handles transaction structuring and restructuring as well as distressed real estate matters.
