Joe specialises in both contentious and non-contentious employment law matters across the firm’s sectors, including advising on employment tribunal claims, settlement agreements and day to day employment issues.

Career

Joe is an associate in the firm’s employment team. He specialises in a broad range of both contentious and non-employment issues, including advising on employment tribunal claims, settlement agreements, corporate transactions and day-to-day employment issues. Joe is recognised by clients as very approachable and down-to-earth, focusing on pragmatic and commercial solutions wherever possible.

Joe read law at Newcastle University and, prior to training as a solicitor, he spent eighteen months working for an international recruitment firm, securing two promotions during this time. Joe undertook his Legal Practice Course at Nottingham Law School, before undertaking his training contract at a full-service top 100 law firm based in the Northeast.

Joe subsequently joined Browne Jacobson as a newly qualified solicitor in September 2019 and has become a highly regarded member of the firm’s employment team. He undertakes work across a number of the firm’s sectors, with a particular focus in the education and insurance sectors, as well as acting for private companies in various other sectors.

Education

Joe completed his training at a full-service commercial law firm in the north east, having obtained his law degree at Newcastle University.
