Michael has over 30 years’ experience as a corporate lawyer, advising private and public companies and private investors. He acts for sellers, buyers and debt or equity providers on corporate transactions, restructurings and shareholder disputes. Michael is regularly involved in contract negotiations, deal origination and deal restructuring.

Trained Pinsents; qualified 1984; partner Gateley 1988, senior partner 2001.

Chairman of trustees of the Birmingham Big Art Foundation, a charitable incorporated organisation; former vice-president and president of Birmingham Chamber of Commerce; former president and treasurer of Birmingham Law Society; former chairman of the Young Solicitors Group and Trainee Solicitors Group; chairman the Midland’s Corporate Finance Charity Ball Committee.

Leisure

Michael enjoys playing golf and is a member of Edgbaston Golf Club. Other interests include holidaying in Portugal and watching football, cricket, golf and rugby.
