Position

Mark is Head of Gateley’s Complex and International Recovery Work unit.  He has over 25 years of experience in all aspects of corporate insolvency, turnaround and restructuring acting for banks, venture capitalists, insolvency practitioners and corporates.

She specialises in contentious insolvency matters often involving offshore entities and allegations of fraud or breach of duty. He also has a niche practice in bringing claims against and defending insolvency practitioners.

Career

Trained Gateley; qualified 1991; partner Gateley 1998 to date.

Education

Calday Grange Grammar School, West Kirby; Manchester University (1982-85 BA Hons economics); College of Law, Chester (1987 Common Professional Examination; 1988 Law Society Finals).

Leisure

Family of six children (there is only one Mrs Wilson!), football (a committed Evertonian), cricket, swimming, cycling, holidaying, music.

Its spectrum of clients ranges from equity funds, accountants, secured lenders and creditors. Victoria Portman adds to the depth of the team with her litigation expertise.
