North West > Insurance > Personal injury: claimant

Thompsons Solicitors LLP specialises in work for trade unions, acting for a number of the UK’s major names in this space, including UNISON, UNITE, the BMA and the Fire Brigades Union; such clients instruct the firm to bring personal injury claims on behalf of their members injured at work, or for members or their families who have been injured in other circumstances. The practice is led by Martyn Gwyther, a specialist in catastrophic injuries sustained while working abroad and offshore, including on ships and oil rigs, and Peter Stringer, who has a strong record in high-level brain and spinal injury litigation. Multi-trauma injuries and fatal accidents expert Philip Liptrot is also key.
