Based at Thompsons Solicitors’ Manchester office, Suzanne Humphries is a highly-respected senior lawyer with managerial responsibility for serious injury and medical negligence solicitors. She also works on claims involving foreign jurisdictions and cross border litigation.

Having qualified as a chartered legal executive in 1997, Suzanne uses her experience to manage other lawyers who are often involved in cases resulting in multi-million pound settlements.

The claims, taken by clients from all over the North West of England, can involve devastating and life-changing injuries sustained in accidents at work or on the road, and in cases where occupiers’ liability is invoked. Some clients are suffering from multiple orthopaedic injuries, amputations and trauma to the spine or brain.

Other cases centre on foreign travel or where foreign nationals are involved, while other claims have arisen from injuries caused by clinical negligence.

Suzanne has a wide range of experience in personal injury and industrial disease claims, both as a frontline lawyer and a manager.

Suzanne ensures that clients receive the highest possible standard of legal representation, but is also at pains to ensure claimants, inevitably experiencing one of the most stressful periods of their lives, are treated with sensitivity and respect. Every effort is expended to secure interim compensation payments to help with the client’s rehabilitation.

Part of her managerial responsibility is to develop the expertise of lawyers in her unit and to maintain the quality of Thompsons’ services through intelligent recruitment.
