Career

Ellen specialises in all aspects of family law, with a particular focus on dealing with financial matters flowing from divorce. In particular, Ellen has experience assisting on high value and complex financial settlements which often involve business assets, family trust structures and cases with an international element. She also has experience in advising in relation to pre and post-nuptial agreements and cohabitation agreements.

Ellen is patient, understanding and, with great attention to detail, works hard to give all her clients a first-class service.

Outside of work, Ellen is a high profile and active member of the Manchester business community.

She was the Chair of JCI Manchester in 2019 where she was named the Best President in the UK and Europe. In 2020 she was shortlisted for Lawyer of the Year at the Made in Manchester Awards 2020 and she was also named in the MEN Rising Star List where she was described as “the star of her generation”.

She also regularly contributes to legal and non-legal publications including Family Law Journal and The Times.
