Career

Abigail is a solicitor advocate, and the Team Leader of our City of London office.  Abigail joined Reeds in 2016, having previously been a Partner at Blaser Mills LLP.

Having practised exclusively in criminal defence since qualification, Abigail provides legal advice and representation in the Police Station, Magistrates Court and Crown Court to those accused of the full spectrum of criminal offences, with a focus on complex and serious crime.  She is also responsible for overseeing the firm’s Very High Cost Cases (VHCCs).

In recent years, Abigail’s practice has largely focused on the defence of those involved in complex white collar financial crime involving high value missing trader or “MTIC” fraud, boiler room fraud, money laundering, false accounting, conspiracy to defraud, and confiscation proceedings.  Her reputation has seen her instructed to defend clients in Trading Standards, HMRC and SFO prosecutions across the UK, where her technical legal knowledge and meticulous attention to detail in the preparation of her cases, produce both positive results and satisfied clients.

As an approachable and tactical lawyer, Abigail is equally sought out by clients for her expertise in handling sensitive cases of the utmost complexity and gravity, many of which attract widespread media attention, or involve vulnerable Defendants.  She routinely defends clients charged with conspiracy, misconduct in public office, fraud, serious drugs offences, serious violence including homicide and GBH, terrorism, and rape.
