Laura has worked in Family Law since 2009 when she began shadowing the Managing Partner of a Family Law firm based in West London. She was admitted as a solicitor on the 15th August 2014. In 2016, Laura became a Partner at that firm.

Laura confidently undertakes all aspects of family law, including complex, contentious matters such as divorce and separation, financial matters, cohabitation disputes and domestic violence matters, as well as non-contentious matters such as prenuptial and postnuptial, cohabitation and settlement agreements.

As a member of Resolution, Laura encourages a conciliatory approach to resolve disputes in a pragmatic, non-confrontational and cost-effective manner but is equally confident to adopt a more firm approach when the case requires it. Laura builds a positive rapport with her clients, enabling them to feel supported throughout the duration of their cases and is alert to the clients’ individual needs. Laura has been commended in the past by her clients for delivering a service that exceeded their initial expectation, for providing sound and objective advice, for preparing her clients on what to expect throughout the process, for her proactive attitude throughout and for remaining focused on the issues in dispute.

One of Laura’s notable cases was the case of Birch v Birch [2017] UKSC 53, in which Laura represented the Applicant in proceedings remitted following the Supreme Court decision.

Laura was born in Romania but has lived in the UK since 2007. She regularly appears on Radio and live advice sessions on Romanian community groups and has served the Romanian community with advice on English family law since her qualification.
