Robert is a commercial lawyer and one of the founding partners of Jurit.
Robert has been a solicitor for over 30 years and is what you might call a generalist lawyer – he provides comprehensive, astute and pragmatic legal advice spanning all aspects of commercial law and business.
He is passionate about helping his clients to optimise the potential of what they do, going beyond legal advice, risk management and good governance, to provide holistic business advice founded on his many years’ experience.
Throughout his lengthy career, based in the UK, Europe and Australia, Robert has advised on a wide range of contentious maritime and insurance matters for major law firms, as well as working in-house at IBM for over 20 years supporting complex technology projects.
This in-house perspective helps him to understand client pressures, especially those of General Counsel at large companies, to provide relevant and timely advice to their clients.
Robert is also a technologist and an advocate for renewable energy and his practice focuses primarily on technology and innovation both as an adviser and as a specialist technology mediator.
He is very conscious of the privilege associated with the trust that clients place in their lawyers and is committed to good lawyering both in terms of technical skill and upholding the professional values of a client-centred service.
