Mills & Co is a specialist trade and shipping firm based in Newcastle that was founded 25 years ago. It competes with London firms for roles in GAFTA and FOSFA arbitrations for multinational trading houses and smaller market participants. Key partners Neville Hopper and Jonathan Green are 'very good professionals with excellent knowledge; very reactive and pragmatic'. Along with Simon Williams, they have 'a strong presence in physical commodities and they regularly go toe-to-toe with the larger London firms, representing big players in the market'. Hopper recently acted for a trading house based in Geneva in a dispute concerning sales of naphtha.
