Paul joined Weightmans in November 2019, with over 30 years of experience in the motor insurance industry.

Previously Chief Technical Officer at the Motor Insurers Bureau, Paul was responsible for the large loss claims team as well as all aspects of technical claims policy and MIB’s role in the cross border claims system. He served as Chairman of the MIB Technical Committee for the last 10 years overseeing the resolution of disputes between MIB and insurers.

Paul advises insurer clients on motor non-indemnity issues, he has particular expertise in the Road Traffic Act, Article 75 and the MIB agreements.  He also advises on policy wordings, processes and provides training to claims handlers on his specialist area.

Prior to working at MIB, Paul was employed by Budget Insurance and Eagle Star – both within the claims area.
