Industry focus: Healthcare and life sciences Tier 1

Intellectual property Tier 1

Banking and finance: Bank regulatory Tier 2

Bird & Bird advises on anti-money laundering (AML), consumer credit, financial products, investment funds, fintech and investment services. Other areas of strength are insurance and bancassurance, market abuse, and payment services and e-money. The team assisted several banks and an IT service provider with assessing an EU payment services directive's impact on business models. A notable corporate transaction saw Bird & Bird act for an Italian ammunition manufacturer on its multimillion-euro sale of a majority stake in the company to a private equity fund. Administrative and public law Tier 3
