Cheng joined Wang Jing & Co. in 1995. Cheng is a former senior partner and the former director of the Shanghai Office. Now he is a senior consultant of Wang Jing & Co.. Cheng has substantial experience in dealing with maritime issues and insurance issues and has particular expertise dealing with litigation and arbitration. Cheng has represented numbers of large domestic and foreign insurance companies and shipping companies in disputes over carriage of goods by sea or insurance thereof, transportation of goods through coastal shipping or insurance thereof, hull insurance, ship building risk insurance, protection and indemnity insurance, seller liability insurance, rejection risk insurance, and marine insurance fraud which has drawn great attention in the international shipping and insurance industry. Cheng is second to none in the field of insurance law.
