Ian Zhang has been practicing law for ten years. He studied at Northwestern University, and his major was intellectual property law and international economic law. He is an invited commentator of English News Channel of CGTN on the issues of antitrust among tech giants and the rationality of the Xinjiang Legislation of the U.S. Ian Zhang has represented a number of famous cases, which have been selected as a national or local typical cases, Shenzhen Jiedian Science and Technology Co., Ltd. v. Shenzhen Laidian Science and Technology Co., Ltd. in several patent infringement litigations (selected in 2018 top 50 typical IP litigations), Beijing Chuangrui Culture Co., Ltd (Shuabao App) v. Beijing Weiboshijie Co., Ltd (Tik Tok App) in an unfair competition litigation (the 1st injunction of short-video industry in China), Beijing Lehuitianxia Co., Ltd v. Beijing Suishouhudong Co., Ltd in a trademark infringement litigation related to the trademark “Haizeiwang (One Piece of Japan)” (selected as a typical case of Beijing Haidian People’s Court).
