Career

Niraj Kumar is a Partner at the New Delhi office, with an established peer-recognized record in transaction practice. He has extensive experience in sectors such as real estate, education and manufacturing. Before joining DSK Legal, he was a part of the legal teams at PricewaterhouseCoopers and Fox Mandal.

In real estate, he advises clients on issues ranging from land aggregation/acquisition, development and funding. He acts regularly for large land banks, leading developers, banks, financial institutions and real estate funds. He also advises yield funds in the acquisition of real estate assets.

Niraj regularly advises the country’s largest educational institutions and private players engaged in providing higher education. In the education sector, his advice relates to structuring of the business, operational issues and regulatory compliances.

Niraj acts as an independent director on the board of a number of companies and also specialises in advising boards of listed and unlisted companies, on governance and other related issues.

His corporate advisory work mainly comprises of deal structuring, negotiations, documentation and execution of transactions. Niraj works closely with clients in the conceptualization, negotiation and closing of corporate and commercial transactions; and also in the monitoring of pre and post-closing obligations.
