Career

Dinesh is a Partner with the New Delhi office of the Firm and has more than 19 years of experience. Besides working in India, he has worked with Allen & Overy, Dubai.

Dinesh has varied experience of advising on multiple infrastructure projects in India and abroad. He has worked on 6 out of 7 metro projects implemented (or being implemented) in India on PPP basis. On waste and water projects, he has advised both developers, contractors and authorities in India and abroad. He has also advised on multiple road projects, social infrastructure projects and industrial corridors. He was involved with the formation of trust for DMICDC and the manner in which the projects will be implemented under DMICDC along with State governments.

In the renewable energy sector, he was actively involved in discussions with the Ministry of Power and MNRE to amend the Solar Guidelines to make the PPA more bankable.

In Dispute Resolution, Dinesh is extensively working on disputes and electricity regulatory matters, including infrastructure related disputes, before courts, tribunals and arbitrators. He regularly represents clients on domestic and international arbitrations, including under the ICC Rules, London Maritime Arbitrations Associations etc.

Dinesh’s projects experience and understanding of various sectors (railways, water and waste, roads, renewable energy, social infrastructure) enable him to provide a comprehensive and practical advice on infrastructure disputes.
