Joanne is a partner of Wong Jin Nee & Teo; has advised clients on many aspects of protection of IPRs with primary focus on brand protection including full clearance trade mark searches, trade mark applications, prosecutions, oppositions, cancellations and enforcement of trade marks; has advised clients on copyright, industrial designs, passing off, commercial exploitation of IPRs and general advice relating to IP laws; also does regulatory and compliance work in relation to media and advertising laws.

Career

Admitted as a barrister-at-law and called to the Bar of England and Wales in 2010; thereafter admitted as an advocate and solicitor of the High Court of Malaya and called to the Malaysian Bar in 2012; has been in practice in Malaysia since then; became a partner of Wong Jin Nee & Teo in 2021.
