Mr. Sung Taek Lim has successfully represented clients in an array of landmark cases in various areas including construction and real estate, finance, and technology. Mr. LIM has been consistently praised by clients for his tremendous experience and excellent litigation skills. In particular, Mr. LIM successfully represented many major financial institutions and construction companies in some of the most significant and high-profile litigation cases, which led him to be recognized as one of the leading lawyers in Korea who “finds solid and practical solutions for complex problems.”

Mr. Lim also has extensive experience in crisis management, public policy and legislation, and compliance. Leveraging his significant experience in corporate and pro bono services, he combined the foregoing two areas to successfully handle CSR, social value, and impact investing. He is also one of the top ESG experts in Korea.

One of Mr. LIM’s areas of focus is the law of North Korea as well as legislation regarding the inter-Korean relations. He regularly advises the Ministry of Unification on such matters and has extensive experience in investing in North Korea, foreign companies in North Korea, legislation on special zones in North Korea, and legislation on exchange and cooperation between South and North Korea.

In addition, Mr. Lim is deeply committed to pro bono work. His pro bono efforts focus on securing human rights for minority groups such as people with disabilities etc., and activities related to public-interest law, and business and human rights. He is a commissioner at the National Human Rights Commission of Korea.
