Career

Jane heads up Simpson Millar’s Family Law and Divorce team. Her main areas of expertise include financial orders, prenuptial and post nuptial agreements, separation agreements and complex high-net worth divorce cases involving business assets, pensions and trusts, or have an overseas element.

She is committed to negotiating settlements amicably and constructively wherever possible, and prides herself on her conciliatory but firm approach.

Jane joined Simpson Millar in 2015 and qualified as a Solicitor in 1997.

Memberships

Jane is a member of Dovetail, a collaborative law group, and Resolution – a national body of family lawyers committed to settling family law problems in a non-confrontational way.

She also campaigns for policy change in family law, and presented a paper arguing for a “no-fault” divorce law to be introduced as a member of the All Party Parliamentary Group.

Leisure

Jane is a loyal fan of Leeds United and has a season ticket. She’s also a big music fan and enjoys going to gigs at Leeds Arena.
