Mr. Yuan Lizhi obtained his LL.M.s from International Law from Shanghai University of International Business and International Business Law from National University of Singapore respectively. Mr. Yuan joined Jingtian & Gongcheng in 2016.

Mr. Yuan is a member of International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) and a certified EU privacy professional (CIPP/E). As a member of National Information Security Standardization Technical Committee (TC260) and Member of China Communications Standards Association Big Data Technology and Standard Committee (TC601), Mr. Yuan participated in the drafting and revision of a number of national standards on information security technology and big data on behalf of Jingtian & Gongcheng.

Mr. Yuan specializes in cybersecurity and data protection and corporate law. Mr. Yuan started to provide clients with legal services regarding commercial cipher as early as 2009. In 2016, he led a listing project for big data company Seassons on the National Equities Exchange and Quotations. In recent years, Mr. Yuan has provided legal services in the area of cybersecurity and data protection for a number of well-known enterprises, including large financial groups, foreign banks, automobile manufacturers, top-tier Internet companies, big data service providers, information security service providers, consulting companies, cloud service providers, Internet advertising companies and medical institutions.

In 2020, Mr. Yuan was recognized by Legal 500 as a “Highly recommended Practitioner” in TMT.
