All colleagues will be treated with dignity and respect; they in turn have a duty to act in accordance with the firm’s Equality policy and to treat other colleagues with dignity at all times, and not to discriminate against or harass other members of staff, regardless of their status. These principles also apply to the way in which colleagues treat visitors, clients, customers, suppliers and former staff members.

One of our ‘Big Goals’ is to create a great place to work. We strive to provide our colleagues with good working conditions and rewards which encourage them and reflect the value of their work.

Our commitment to charity

Our colleagues are actively involved in charitable work. We have a CSR committee which has representatives from all over the business who meet on a monthly basis to organise activities for everyone to get involved in.

We select one charity each year by consulting our colleagues. We then embark upon a calendar of charitable events to support them. We have also developed partnerships with a range of local organisations, to the benefit of the community, examples of which are below:

  • The Shine project, Leeds
  • The Big Change Project, Leeds
  • Social Mobility Foundation
  • The Leeds Community Foundation 100 Club

CLIENT: Les Foulger
COMPANY/FIRM: Saint-Gobain
TESTIMONIAL: The team at Shulmans are very proactive in their approach to property risk management. In relation to dilapidations claims they work with us well in advance of the expiry of the lease so as to identify risks, put in place strategies to minimise those risks and to gather evidence so as to ensure that we are in the strongest possible position should a dispute ultimately arise. Their detail and technical analysis of contractual obligations in lease contracts has repeatedly delivered favourable outcomes for us.

CLIENT: Graham Burr, Head of Property
COMPANY/FIRM: Lidl UK
TESTIMONIAL: We would rate Shulmans very highly, in terms of strength in depth of team, and value for money, but particularly in respect of responsiveness to instructions and ‘drive’ to deliver in short timescales.

CLIENT: Tony Armitage
COMPANY/FIRM: Armitage & Co.
TESTIMONIAL: The advice and support I have received throughout has been professional and knowledgeable and the outcome at trial and the rarity of obtaining a 3rd party cost order were both resounding successes.

COMPANY/FIRM: Barratt Developments Plc
TESTIMONIAL: Shulmans has a strong team, offering a co-ordinated and consistent approach which helps us to achieve results. In particular, when one member of their team is away, they make a point of keeping jobs running seamlessly.
