Career

Yong-Ho Kim is an attorney at Kim & Chang’s Structured Finance Practice.

Mr. Kim has extensive experience in a wide range of cross-border and domestic financial transactions, with an emphasis on asset securitization, ABCP conduit program, credit derivatives, real estate project financing, and development of new financial products. He also has extensive experience advising clients on insolvency and restructuring matters.

Mr. Kim has been very closely involved in the development of Korean laws and regulations on asset securitization and related matters. Mr. Kim served as the primary drafter of the Asset-Backed Securitization Act enacted in 1998, and also participated in the subsequent drafting of related laws such as the Housing Mortgage-Backed Securitization Company Act enacted in 1999 and the Korea Housing Finance Corporation Act enacted in 2003. He is also the co-author of Financial Innovation – ABS, a leading book on asset-backed securitization in Korea, published by The Korea Economic Daily in 1999.
