Position

Cassandra is an experienced healthcare and criminal defence lawyer. She has advised on many high-profile cases in the regulatory and criminal jurisdictions and has appeared as an advocate before the Magistrates’ and Crown Courts as well as Fitness to Practise Tribunals.

Cassandra worked exclusively in criminal defence for seven years before joining the General Medical Council as a legal adviser to the Fitness to Practise Directorate in 2013. She has also worked at the Medical Protection Society, the Infected Blood Inquiry and the Association of Optometrists where she was Head of Professional Discipline
