Ahmad is an English-law solicitor-advocate with 16 years’ post-qualification experience. He is a Senior Managing Associate at Salt & Associates and the Head of Abu Dhabi of Salt & Associates and Iraq offices of Salt for Legal Services LLC. Specializes in venture capital, private equity, media law, and corporate commercial law in the United Arab Emirates, British Virgin Islands, and England & Wales. Prior to joining Salt & Associates, Ahmad held legal positions at twofour54 Abu Dhabi, Herbert Smith Freehills in Dubai, and Clifford Chance in London. Ahmad read law at the University of Bristol. He is fluent in English and has a working knowledge of Turkish and Arabic.
Ahmed is a highly experienced banking & finance lawyer, advises a multitude of local and international banks, financial institutions, and institutional investors on banking incorporation and regulation, the underwriting and syndication of loans, restructuring of conventional and Islamic debt, debt recovery, equipment leasing and secured commercial lending.
Ahmad‘s specific experience further extends to corporate/commercial matters where he practices in capital markets, M&A and due diligence transactions, drafting and reviewing all types of commercial contracts, including agency, franchising and distributorship agreements, structuring and restructuring of businesses, as well as advising on regulatory, labor, e-commerce and IT related issues.
