Career

Temi has substantial expertise in civil, commercial and IP litigation. She is accomplished at providing resolutions to disputes through negotiation, mediation and other forms of Alternative Dispute Resolution.

Temi has vast experience in managing complex cases, including disputes arising from Share Purchase Agreements, property/land disputes, debt recovery, insolvency and intellectual property disputes.  She has been involved in multi-million-pound claims and has worked across multiple jurisdictions.

Temi was called to the Bar in 2003 (Middle Temple) and, after working for an Essex-based firm of solicitors, joined Calvert Solicitors in 2006. She qualified as a solicitor in the same year and headed the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Department. Temi became a partner at the firm in 2008 and a solicitor-advocate (All Higher Courts) in 2010.

Temi relocated to Trinidad & Tobago in 2012 and undertook her legal training at Trinity Chambers in Port of Spain, whilst attending Hugh Wooding Law School. She obtained her LEC and was admitted to practise as an attorney-at-law in Trinidad & Tobago in 2013. Temi continued her legal and professional development at the newly formed Invictus Chambers in Port of Spain.

Temi set up her own private practice in 2014. She joined with a UK practice as a partner in 2016 and provided legal services to clients based both in Trinidad & Tobago and the UK. Temi joined Carter Bond Solicitors in 2018 as a consultant and became partner in 2020.
