Career

Annabel is a commercial litigator. Her practice focuses on oil and gas disputes, competition law, as well as fraud and asset recovery. She has been involved in a variety of contractual disputes involving local and international banks, and within the automotive industry and the construction industry.

In oil and gas disputes, Annabel has been involved in both litigation and arbitration proceedings, representing one of the largest multinational oil and gas corporations as well as Malaysia’s main oil and gas exploration and production entity. She has experience in both upstream and downstream disputes.

She is also involved in competition law disputes. She is a part of the team at the Federal Court defending the first and subsequent decisions issued by the Malaysian Competition Commission.

Annabel is also currently involved in fraud and asset recovery matters pursuing the recovery of misappropriated funds. Her scope encompasses both recovery of monies in the civil suit as well as liaising with the authorities in relation to the criminal proceedings.

Annabel graduated with a LL.B. (Hons) from University of the West of England and is a Barrister-at-Law (Inner Temple). She joined Lim Chee Wee Partnership and was promoted to senior associate in August 2021.
