Career

In his career, Sergey has worked at various institutions in Uzbekistan, including Magnum Uzbekistan, where he worked as a head of legal department, General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan, where he worked as an intern in the Construction and Transportation Laws Supervision Department, and as an assistant judge at Tashkent Economic Court. Nowadays, Sergey is Senior Associate at Black Swan Consulting.

Sergey has significant experience in providing legal advice in various areas of Uzbek legislation, including corporate, antitrust, labor, currency, competition. He also has experience in legal support of companies in retail sector, coordination of HR services for clients and due diligence procedures for companies in connection with the acquisition of shares in companies by foreign investors.

Sergey participated in the due diligence procedures for companies operating in various areas, including the agricultural sector and the commodities market. He was engaged in the analysis and study of changes in Uzbek legislation and its practical application for Uzbek and foreign companies.

Sergey holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Law from the Tashkent State University of Law (TSUL) in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. He has also completed legal marketing courses organized by Legal Practice in Tashkent and courses on “Public-Private Partnerships” organized by the United Nations (UN). Sergey is also a professional mediator, and is listed in the registry of professional mediators of the Ministry of Justice of Uzbekistan.
