Career

Jakhongir along with being a professional attorney has extensive experience in litigation. Jakhongir had an experience of working as legal counsel of governmental organizations and as judge assistant. While working in public service he has gained experience of developing and drafting regulatory legal acts. He specializes in public-private partnerships, construction, including road-construction, corporate law, commercial law, labor law, and contract law. Participated in the UN project “Sustainable Development Goals of Uzbekistan” and in UNDP project to implement the recognition and enforcement of international arbitral and foreign court judgments. He participated in due diligence of foreign companies, developed compliance procedures for companies, conducted KYC for local enterprises, and developed various types of agreements, including investment agreements. He also advises a local company on corporate issues and the implementation of KYC procedures for its merchants.

Education

Jakhongir Rejapov graduated from the University of World Economy and Diplomacy in Tashkent, Uzbekistan in 2015 with a Bachelor’s degree in International Law. He has completed courses on Alternative Dispute Resolution and International Arbitration in the center for the professional training of lawyers by international standards at the Tashkent State University of Law under the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and at the recognized law firms in Tashkent. Additionally, he has taken courses on Public-Private Partnerships, such as PPP Experts and APMG International, organized by the Ministry of Finance of Uzbekistan.
