Career

Fernando joined the Commercial Law Department as a partner in 2019. He had previously developed his professional career at Ernst & Young, Deloitte and at KPMG Abogados.

Fernando is a specialist in Commercial and Litigation Law, with special emphasis on M&A, contractual law and civil and criminal litigation law.

In matters of corporate law, his work has included the incorporation of all types of entities, corporate restructuring and transactions, protocols for family businesses, corporate secretariat, shareholders’ agreements, due diligence procedures. In contractual matters, he is involved in the drafting and negotiation of all types of commercial contracts, as well as in investment agreements and company sales contracts.

In litigation matters, he is involved in the preparation of all kinds of civil, criminal and arbitration litigation briefs and in legal assistance in proceedings to challenge labour agreements, on unfair competition, patents and trademarks, directors’ liability. He is responsible for the implementation of “Corporate Defence” preventive criminal law protocols at the Valencia office.

A regular contributor to Expansión, Cinco Días, Economía 3, etc., he has taught courses and seminars at the Colegio de Economistas de Valencia and at the APD, being since 2009 professor in the Master’s in Business Legal Advice offered by the Universidad Católica de Valencia and the Fundación de Estudios Bursátiles y Financieros. He is an international postgraduate professor at the Universidad Santo Tomás de Aquino and at the Universidad Libre de Colombia (Bogota). Co-author of Manual práctico de Compliance- Civitas Thomson Reuters 2018.
