Career

Antony has considerable experience in the education sector. He has been supporting local authorities, FE colleges, universities and schools on a wide range of matters since 2001. Having spent the majority of his career working in the City of London, he moved to the South West in 2013 where he established and grew one of the largest education practices in the UK.

Having spent his career in traditional legal practices, he established PHP Law with like minded individuals who believe that it is possible to provide an outstanding service without charging the earth.

Since establishing PHP, some key work highlights include:

  • leading the team which has delivered the largest rescoping of a schools PFI project in the Country;
  • advising an academy trust on the reorganisation of its estate to enable the redevelopment of the main school buildings;
  • supporting on the innovative outsourcing of back office services at a multi academy trust to a public sector joint venture made up of local authority and CCG shareholders;
  • providing strategic support to multi academy trusts resulting in those trusts being able to grow; and
  • advising on various education related procurement challenges acting for challengers and procurers.
