Giordano Rezzonico is the Head of Legal at KPMG in Western Switzerland (Geneva and Lausanne) and Ticino (Lugano). He thus has overall responsibility for the legal practice in the French and Italian speaking parts of Switzerland.

Giordano’s main area of expertise is Corporate/M&A. He has led numerous national and cross-border transactions in various industries, including LBO acquisitions on behalf of private equity houses. He has advised various clients on the restructuring of their business, including re-domiciliations and mergers as well as post-closing integrations and reorganizations.

His other key area of expertise is banking and finance. He has experience in establishing banks in Switzerland and addressing the regulatory aspects of bank mergers, acquisitions or restructurings. He has acted as special investigator and liquidator of banks and/or financial intermediaries. Giordano has also substantial experience in assisting local and foreign groups in establishing or expanding operations in Switzerland, including incorporation of companies, employment of staff, negotiation of work permits and acquisition of real estate by persons abroad.
