Career

Pascal has more than 10 years of audit and consulting experience at KPMG. Since 2014, he has held overall responsibility for all non-tax-related issues of Regulatory & Compliance in the area of Financial Services for the banking, insurance, and asset management sectors of KPMG Switzerland. Prior to that, he was Head of the Legal Financial Services Practice Group from 2013 to 2014. Pascal has more than 15 years of professional experience in financial services.

As a lawyer, Pascal advises national and international clients mainly in matters of financial market law in the markets of Switzerland and Liechtenstein. He deals with regulatory issues for banks/stock dealer, insurance companies, and collective investment schemes. His work focuses on issues of regulatory approval, internal operational organization and governance of regulated institutions, as well as combating money laundering. Pascal also deals intensively with international regulations such as MiFID II, EMIR, UCITS, AIFMD and their impact on Swiss financial intermediaries.

Pascal Sprenger also lectures at various educational institutions in the field of financial market supervision law, combating money laundering and general compliance issues. Pascal is also a member of various expert committees of associations and interest groups on financial market law issues.
