Career
Prior to joining AFS Partnership in 2011, Oland worked at one of Indonesia’s prominent litigation law firm in Jakarta. He has more than 14 years experience in handling criminal litigation and restructuring & insolvency. His particular expertise in criminal litigation are ranging from corporate crimes, frauds, corruptions to money laundering cases. In restructuring and insolvency, he has represented multinational and domestic high profile clients.
During his career in AFSP, Oland has involved in various high profile criminal litigation and restructuring cases inter alia:
1. Representing Cayman Company the owner of a luxury yacht that linked to a US investigation into scandal-ridden state fund 1MBD, that was unlawfully seized by the Indonesia National Police on the request of US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in 2018.
2. Representing in relation to the corruption allegation case regarding the electronic identity card (E-KTP) procurement which case was considered to be the biggest corruption case in Indonesia during 2017 and 2018.
3. Representing the board of directors, board of commissioners and the employees of biggest telecommunication company in relation to an alleged tax restitution case which was examined by the Attorney General Office (Kejaksaan Agung Republik Indonesia).
