Alix Airam Trimmer Espinosa is a Partner at Ferran Martínez Abogados. She has focused her professional practice for more than 14 years on Consulting and Litigation in Labor and Social Security matters, as well as the analysis of labor and employment affairs from a corporate perspective, elaboration of employee hiring strategies, implementation and modification of compensation programs and general policies for environmental, social and corporate governance for labor compliance. She has been invited to collaborate with the press, having publications in media such as “El Economista”, “Sin Embargo” and “Milenio”. She serves as a professor in the subjects of Labor and Employment Law at several universities and seminars. She is an active member of the civil association “FEMXFEM”, which is an organization that provides tools such as workshops, conferences and even a support line to raise awareness of women rights (and legal advice pro bono) and empower women. As part of such an association she has also participated as a speaker at seminars related to sexual harassment and the vulnerable position of women at the workplace. She is also an active member of “Comunidad Libre” which is the new LGBT group of Escuela Libre de Derecho for alumni and students, also she is a consultant for “LGBT Rights México” and serves as a mentor for LGBT groups. As part of such a group, she advises students on their process of social acceptance and helps them find inclusive and safe workplaces in the legal profession. For her knowledge and commitment to minorities, she has been invited to speak as part of the “Labor Law Seminar” of the Illustrious and National Bar Association of Mexico for the module “Imparting justice to vulnerable groups and the gender perspective in the new labor justice procedure”. Named “Associate to watch” by Chambers & Partners and nominated as “Future Leader for Diversity” by the same publication, additionally, she has been recognized by The Legal 500.
