Career

Mr. Ung-Kwon Jang has over 10 years’ experience in prosecuting patent applications in the technical fields of machinery/heavy industry, mobile display and electric/ electronic engineering.

Mr. Jang has extensive experience assisting domestic companies with many aspects of patent laws, including patent filings in and outside Korea, OA analysis and response, risk management based on analysis of patented technology, patent litigation strategy and response, various agreements and negotiation.

Prior to joining Lee International IP & Law Group, Mr. Jang worked at KISTEP (Korea Institute of Science & Technology Evaluation and Planning, 2003), Woorin Patent Firm (2006-2008), KBK & Associates (2008-2010), LG Innotek (2010-2013) and DSME (Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering Co., Ltd., 2013-2015).

Mr. Jang is a graduate of Chung-Ang University with a B.S. in mechanical engineering (2008) and is studying law at Korea National Open University.
