Career

Benoît Javaux is co-head of the “Business Litigation / Industrial Risks and Insurance ” department at Squadra Avocats.

For over 16 years, Benoît has been advising and representing both French and foreign businesses in their complex disputes before state courts and arbitral tribunals, at every stage; at pre-litigation stage, to define the optimal strategy and secure the upper hand over an opponent, all the way through to the enforcement stage, where his goal is ensuring the successful fulfilment of decisions and awards.

Adept at implementing complex and ambitious litigation strategies, Benoît complements his expertise with a specialised proficiency in mediation (both as counsel and as mediator), in trade secret matters, and in collective and class action litigation. Pugnacious in defending clients’ interests, Benoît’s strategic skills have been acknowledged by peers and clients alike.

Moreover, his significant involvement in the field of education stems from and is fed by his professional work. For several years, Benoît has also dedicated time to imparting his knowledge, both through seminars for clients and legal professionals and by lecturing at universities and business schools.

Prior to joining Squadra, Benoît practiced business litigation for over a decade with the French full-service law firm August Debouzy, before moving on in 2017 to create, alongside four colleagues, the Commercial Litigation, White Collar and Compliance department of the Paris office of the US litigation firm, Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan.
