Position

Partner in the firm’s Corporate, Commercial and Regulatory practice area and also leads the firm’s Real Estate, Tourism and Life Sciences practice groups.

Career

Mohamed has large and varied experience for more than 8 years in many legal areas and fields. Prior to joining Adsero, Mohamed worked at top tier law firms in Egypt. Mohamed has wide range of expertise and advised many clients in different sectors on general corporate and commercial matters including incorporation of companies, corporate restructure, mergers, agency and distribution, employment, reviewing and drafting contracts, regulatory matters, franchising, data protection, IP and taxation. Mohamed has also provided legal advice on transactional matters and executed M&A transactions including conducting legal due diligence, drafting and negotiating transaction documents.

Mohamed is leading the Firm’s life sciences practice. Mohamed has provided legal services in life science sector to many multinational companies such as Medtronic, Zoetis, Smiths Medical, Boehringer, Ibnsina Pharma, Pfizer and Eva Pharma. He represented Egypt’s fastest-growing and second-largest distributor of pharmaceutical products ‘Ibnsina Pharma’ in an IPO of part of its shares. Mohamed has also developed vast experience advising big real estate companies and developers such as Egyptian Resorts Company (Sahl Hasheesh), Palm Hills, Abu Dhabi Capital Group (Al Borouj), Amer Group, Regus, Colliers, Hassan Allam and Binladin Group on many legal matters in relation to residential and commercial compounds, touristic projects, construction contracts, sale and lease agreements, partnership agreements and joint ventures.

On Projects sector, Mohamed has represented number of companies on setting up and operating their solar power projects under the feed-in-tariff (FiT) program in Egypt and other infrastructure projects. On dispute resolution, Mohamed successfully represented multinational companies such as Mitsubishi Motors Company, Clarks and International Flavours & Fragrances as well as national companies such as Egyptian Resorts Company and Suez Steel Company in multi-millions litigation disputes and investigations. He also handled number of arbitrations including a complex arbitration before CRCICA regarding water supply plant as well as ICSID investment arbitrations on oil & gas and steel industries.

In addition to his practical experience, Mohamed is an Assistant Lecturer at Cairo University, Faculty of Law. Mohamed is also an accredited mediator at the Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution (CEDR) in London.
