Its members have valuable corporate and governmental experience after working for several companies and the government in different ministries and agencies. Led by Pedro Aylwin, the department advises on projects of different industries in all stages, from obtaining the relevant sectoral and environmental permits, to the draft and negotiation of the necessary contracts for its execution. Strategic advice is given to anticipate possible contingencies as well as provide conditions for compliance. Critical negotiations with local and indigenous communities in major-scale projects. Corporate/M&A: This department assists its clients not only in their legal incorporation as new entities, but also in their most significant modifications to adjust for market and legal challenges throughout the company life-cycle. Infrastructure, complex litigation, arbitration and dispute resolution: The infrastructure and litigation department provides advice to its clients with a legal and technical support, unique in this field. This whole-permanent advice usually begins with a tender formulation phase, continuing through the adjudication, engineering and construction stages. If required, the exploitation phase of the contract may be covered by the department as well.

The department has a highly specialised team of lawyers, with experience in complex litigation and arbitration, especially regarding the litigation of both public and private infrastructure contracts, and other types of construction contracts. Lastly, this team has a deep knowledge on administrative public claims, thanks to its previous experience working on Chile’s Public Works Ministry.
