Career

Thies Leijsen particularly focuses on administrative law, real estate law, employment and public service law. He advises and assists governmental bodies and clients in the public sector as well as large international clients in the private sector on matters in the field of, for instance, spatial planning, licenses and leaseholds.

Thies Leijsen is specialized in all areas of employment law with a focus on employment termination law and collective employment law. Within VANEPS he heads the employment law section.
In addition to that, he is also very experienced in administrative law, real estate law and public service law. In this role, Thies advises and assists a variety of clients, such as governmental bodies, clients in the public sector and local and international employers in the private sector.

Thies studied law at Maastricht University and obtained his master’s degree at the University of Westminster in London. He started his career as an attorney-at-law in the Netherlands and also worked for a law firm in St. Maarten. In 2011, he switched to VANEPS.

Thies regularly speaks at meetings and events on various topics within the field of administrative law, employment law and real estate law.
