Career
Diek Fabius works for VANEPS since 2019. Diek advises on matters involving intellectual property, privacy, commercial contracts, trade regulations and all forms of joint ventures between partners. Diek is highly experienced in management of legal project management requiring multidisciplinary approach from other specialties such as tax and finance and involving corporate structuring, contracts and/or intellectual property rights. Because of his background and different competences and specialities, Diek’s client base is composed of medium and larger multinational clients that have activities and operations in the jurisdictions of Aruba, BES, Curacao, Sint Maarten, Suriname and Dutch. Via the firm’s Surinam Desk, Diek has also been involved in several Surinam onshore and offshore contracting projects combining international best practices with local knowledge and experience. Diek is a regular guest lecturer at the University of Aruba and is qualified as a lawyer both in the Dutch Caribbean and the Netherlands.
