Tim first qualified as a solicitor in the 1980s and has practiced as a Dispute Resolution solicitor in and around Birmingham for over 30 years.

During that time he has assisted personal and commercial clients with a wide range of problems, and has acted successfully in hundreds of court cases, as well as negotiating settlements in countless others.

He takes time to understand his clients’ requirements and aspirations, and works hard to deliver a solution, always aiming for the swiftest and most cost effective result. He is an experienced negotiator and uses mediation to good effect in order to keep disputes out of court if possible. He has a number of long standing clients.

Tim’s specialist areas of practice are banking and financial claims, intellectual property, shareholder and company disputes, and contract claims, including franchising.

He has received excellent reviews in past editions of The Legal 500. In 2018 he was recommended as being “In another class – very proactive and knowledgeable”. The 2019 edition says of him “Tim Lawrence has a strong following and works tirelessly to achieve his client’s objectives. An excellent commercial litigator”.

In 2017 Tim was one of two partners in a litigation team which was nominated as dispute team of the year for the Midlands (excluding Birmingham), and participated in the national final.
