Nikolai has been practicing in-house and at international law firms since 2007. He has a particular specialism in working with German-speaking clients, having handled the vast majority of corporate, commercial, and financial regulatory legal work within the German Desk at a leading US law firm’s Moscow office. In particular, Nikolai represented minority shareholders in disputes over interested party transactions and dividend distribution; elaborated strategies to limit shareholder liability, resolve deadlocks, handle conflicts between shareholders and local management, and sometimes to expel shareholders. As for the most recent transactional legal work, Nikolai advised on digital bond issuance, stand-by letters of credit facility agreement, security structuring, and derivatives.
