Career
Murat Demir is an expert in the Turkish Tax system. He graduated from Dokuz Eylul University, Faculty of Business Administration in 2004 and he was granted LLM in Public Law from Bahcesehir University and Uludag University in 2014.
Specialized in tax consultancy and full certification services, especially in the chemical, automotive and production sectors, Murat Demir has provided services to many leading domestic and international companies for 18 years.
He started his career in Izmir office of one of Big4 companies in 2004, and later, he worked first in Bursa and then in Istanbul offices of the same institution. He became a manager in 2009 and a senior manager in 2012. He was promoted as Bursa Office Leader in 2013 and continued his duty until the fall of 2018.
Between 2016 and 2017, he worked in an international consultancy team of one of the Big4 audit companies that focused on the approach to tax services for the EMEIA region, providing research and recommendations and playing a role in the restructuring of these processes.
He joined NAZALI Tax and Law Bursa Office as a Responsible Partner in 2018. In 2021, he was promoted to Regional Partner in charge of Bursa, Izmir and Denizli offices. He provides a range of services to domestic and international companies on tax consultancy, company restructuring, and incentives.
He has published articles on a wide range of topics relating to tax matters such as investment incentives and Special Consumption Tax. During his career he has attended many national and international seminars, conferences and training programs as a speaker and trainer.
