Career
David has played a significant role in the insolvency profession over many years. In the main he has acted for office holders, dealing with investigations, recoveries and matters involving technical insolvency.
From time to time, he has acted for individuals and company directors facing insolvency act or other claims and disqualification. One of his relatively recent and notable cases being Ralls Builders Limited, a decision which fundamentally affected wrongful trading cases. Other of his reported cases included cash Generator v Fortune and Azuone v Kent.
He has been particularly noted for his experience in dealing with LPA Receivership work and construction insolvency cases, His construction experience has included novation, adjudication, mediation, and arbitration.
He and his clients have benefitted from the experience he has gained from being a Deputy District Judge for 21 years and acting as a Chartered Arbitrator for a similar period.
