Career

A founding partner, Babajimi heads our Commercial Dispute Resolution Practice Group. He specialises in Corporate and Commercial law and has been involved in several arbitration proceedings as advocate, sole arbitrator and presiding arbitrator. In addition to his core focus on commercial dispute resolution.

Babajimi also heads the firm’s FinTech and e-Commerce group and has advised on several transactions that have been instrumental to the increased adoption of electronic and mobile payments in Nigeria. He has an excellent grasp of the FinTech regulatory environment and regularly advises clients on licensing and compliance issues. He has been ranked by Chambers & Partners as one of the two leading lawyers in the FinTech industry in Nigeria.

Admitted into the Nigeria Bar Association in 1999, Babajimi is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK) and a non-executive director of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce International Arbitration Centre (LACIAC).
