Position

Rachael is a solicitor in our Family & Divorce team. Rachael specialises in both Public Law and Private Law children matters representing Parents. Rachael is a keen and experienced advocate and regularly represents clients in complicated and lengthy court hearings. In March 2022, Rachael received the Children Law accreditation from the Law Society and therefore is now able to represent Children in complex private law proceedings and Public Law proceedings via their children’s Guardian

Career

Rachael joined the family law team at a local Peterborough firm where she gained experience in Children Act proceedings; divorce and financial proceedings; and domestic violence injunctions. Rachael then moved to the private client team of another local firm in 2015 where she dealt with probate matters; drafting of Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney; and Court of Protection matters.

Rachael then made the decision to return to family law, being her first passion and joined Hunt & Coombs Solicitors in November 2019.

In 2022, Rachael was appointed as a Qualified Legal Representative (QLR) as one of only five other solicitors in the country alongside barristers.

Education

Rachael qualified as a solicitor in 2010 after completing her degree at Nottingham Trent university and her LPC at Nottingham Law School obtaining a commendation.

In March 2022, Rachael received the Children Law accreditation from the Law Society.
