Career

Jakub Zakrzewski advises Danish and international companies on all aspects of banking and financing law.

The core of his advice is an in-depth understanding of and experience with clients’ business models, the relevant regulation and commercial considerations.

Jakub has in-depth knowledge of capital market law, capital management and FinTech. He has considerable experience in advising companies within the financial sector that is subject to financial supervision, including ongoing advice on regulatory matters. In addition, Jakub has in-depth experience in the operation and structuring of collective investment schemes (including UCITS and AIFs across different asset classes).

He has assisted in the preparation and negotiation of several complex financial contracts such as portfolio management agreements, advisory agreements, derivative contracts, custody agreements, distribution agreements, etc. In addition, Jakub has experience in advising on business transfers and general company law.

Through his board positions and postings to several financial companies, Jakub has gained in-depth knowledge of financial company operations and compliance matters.

Jakub is co-author of a section on FinTech in Denmark in “The Financial Technology Review” as well as a frequent presenter and teacher in his specialty at JUC and the University of Copenhagen.
