Career

Maria is manager of the Energy, Environment and Natural Resources practice in Athens. She is an energy and environmental lawyer with a transactional as well as economics background. Maria’s energy practice focuses on renewable energy and clean technologies, electricity markets, power and natural gas infrastructure. She has significant experience in advising investors, sponsors and developers as well as public-sector entities in connection to project development and privatisations. She regularly advises on complex energy regulatory matters, due diligence, energy M&As and project financing.

In addition, Maria advises on all aspects of environmental compliance and permitting for a wide range of projects and assists clients with emerging environmental and climate law issues.

Prior to joining Platis – Anastassiadis and Associates Law Partnership in 2022, Maria practiced energy and environmental law with major law firms in Greece.
